Can Acupuncture Help Treat Infertility?

In a medical study of IVF transfer patients, there was a 43% pregnancy rate in the group receiving acupuncture 25 minutes before and after embryo transfer. This study was done in Germany in 2002 by Wolfgang E. Paulus.
In a clinical study by Paul C. Magarelli, M.D., Ph. D, the study used two group of women seeking to get pregnant. One group received real acupuncture treatments while the other group thought they were receiving acupuncture treatments, but in fact were not. The group that received the actual medical acupuncture treatments had a higher pregnancy rate of 28.4%.
