Three Reasons to Choose Dermapen Microneedling

microneedleEven people who hate needles can handle microneedling using the Dermapen®. Microneedling is essentially a collagen induction therapy that rejuvenates the skin.  This minimally invasive procedure uses extremely fine needles to puncture the skin for a controlled injury. Every needle puncture generates a “micro-wound” that the body repairs with new collagen and elastin while also creating new capillaries. In this manner, the skin can naturally heal its own scars, rejuvenate damaged skin, reduce the appearance of stretch marks, and even tighten sagging skin. Understanding Synthetic versus Natural Thyroid Medications

thyroidWhat is the difference between synthetic versus natural thyroid medications? Natural Thyroid formulations such as Nature-Throid, Armour, and WP Thyroid are derived from desiccated porcine (pig) thyroid glands which contain not only T4 like in synthetics but also T3. Natural thyroid from desiccated thyroid have been used to treat thyroid problems for more than 100 years as reported in medical journals and books. Natural thyroid formulations also target T2, T1 and Calcitonin which can be beneficial. Synthetic thyroid medications such as Synthroid and Levothyroxine contain Thyroxine (T4), which is the identical hormone produced by the thyroid gland.

Synthetic formulations contain only T4 which must be converted to T3 by the body for it to work.  This conversion is done by the de-Iodinase enzyme and in some people this enzyme is deficient or not working. In these patients despite thyroid Continue reading “Understanding Synthetic versus Natural Thyroid Medications” »

woman doctorYou may find that despite following a healthy diet, exercising regularly, and making smart lifestyle choices, you still feel sick and weighed down. Due to the continual contamination of our environment, many people unknowingly suffer from high levels of heavy metal exposure like lead, mercury, and aluminum. The body can only cope with so much toxicity until it begins to suffer from acute and chronic issues, like damage to the central nervous function and vital organs.

What the Alcat Test Will Do For You

food allergiesMany of us have always had a list of foods that just “don’t agree” with us, and often that list grows over time. Over the holidays, we tend to forego our normal diets and indulge in foods at gatherings and restaurants that confirm our suspicions of having food sensitivity.

Food allergies and food sensitivity symptoms can manifest themselves in the most obvious ways, such as indigestion, upset stomach and pain, irregular bowel movements, hives… Sometimes in less obvious ways that you may not even associate with foods, such as migraines, joint pain, fatigue and cognitive impairment.
