Allergan is the manufacturer of the Juvederm line of dermal fillers. There are several different products in the Juvederm line. Each product has been designed for specific target areas. Take the guesswork out of deciding which treatment to get with this handy guide.
Cheeks
Do your cheeks seem like they are sunken or sagging? This is the result of volume loss in the face, particularly the mid-face and cheeks. Juvederm Voluma XC was designed specifically for this problem. The filler will plump your cheeks and give them a full, youthful appearance, smoothing lines in the process. Results last about 9 months.
Smile or Laugh Lines
If you have a very expressive face and you smile or laugh frequently, you’re likely to develop smile or laugh lines. The sooner you start working on keeping those lines smoothed out, the easier it will be to avoid deep lines. It is not unheard of to start these treatments in your mid-30s.
For deep laugh lines around the nose, try Juvederm XC or Vollure. Juvederm XC only lasts 6 to 12 months, but Vollure lasts up to 18 months. In addition, more severe lines are going to benefit most from Vollure, which can be more deeply embedded and has less spread.
Lips
If you are looking to correct lip lines and lines around the perimeter of the lips, Juvederm Volbella is a great option. This filler smooths out those lines without really adding a lot of volume. If volume is what you’re looking for, use Juvederm Ultra XC instead. It is a thicker filler, so it will be able to really smooth out deep lines around the mouth and lower face and add volume to the lips, too.
