Is Cryotherapy Right For Me?

Cryotherapy involves the use of liquefied nitrous oxide to freeze and destruct unwanted tissue.  It is appropriate for a variety of dermatologic conditions including: acne, keloids, verruca vulgaris (warts), and keratosis actinica.  The lesion is frozen to the cellular level.  No anesthetic is required for the cryotherapy procedure.  After the procedure, a scab will form over the treated area and peel away within 1-3 weeks.  The number of treatments required is dependent on the size and depth of the lesion.

Dr. Anne Hermann offers a number of cosmetic treatments and procedures to her patients, including cryotherapy.  Offices are maintained in Tampa and Saint Petersburg Beach, Florida.  Please call the office at (813) 902-9559 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

Rosacea Treatment in Tampa

Rosacea is a common skin condition that causes flushing, redness and prominent telangiectases of the face.  The cause of rosacea is unknown, but is thought to occur from an exaggerated vasodilatory response.  This response can occur from such causes as: exposure to hot temperatures, spicy foods,  and alcohol consumption. Treatment usually consists of prescription creams or gels applied to the affected areas, along with avoidance of triggers.

Laser therapy has also been shown to be beneficial to help treat persistent erythema (redness) and telangiectases. At Hermann Aesthetics & Wellness we have the ability to effectively treat rosacea with both a medicinal and aesthetic approach.  Our IPL laser limits erythema and reduces the appearance of telangiectases.  For more information please contact the office at: (813) 902-9559.  Office locations are in Tampa and Saint Petersburg Beach, Florida.

What Is Sclerotherapy?

Sclerotherapy  is a popular cosmetic procedure that eliminates superficial “spider veins” and slightly deeper reticular “blue veins”.  A sclerosing solution is injected into the vein with a small needle.  This solution irritates the vein wall, and the goal of the procedure is to achieve closure of the vein.  The number of treatments needed will vary based on the severity and number of veins identified.

Dr. Anne Hermann, a holistic internal medicine physician, offers sclerotherapy to her patients. Dr. Hermann and her staff also perform numerous other cosmetic procedures. These include: Botox and cosmetic filler injections, laser hair removal, facial rejuvenation, skin tightening, cellulite reduction and a variety of aesthetic services. Offices are maintained in Tampa and Saint Petersburg Beach, Florida. Please contact the office at (813) 902-9559 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

What Is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a non- invasive method of skin exfoliation.  It utilizes a suctioning and vacuuming technique that stimulates blood and lymph flow.  Skin pores are cleaned of debris; this renews the surface of the skin.  Microdermabrasion leaves the skin supple and vibrant.  This treatment is used to diminish the appearance of scars, facial spots, acne and wrinkles.  No downtime is required after treatment, and normal activity can be resumed immediately.

Dr. Anne Hermann offers comprehensive aesthetic and cosmetic services to her patients.  Offices are maintained in Tampa and Saint Petersburg Beach, Florida.   Please contact the office at (813) 902-9559 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

What Is Cosmetic Filler?

Products such as Radiesse, Perlane, Juvederm, Belotero and Restylane are cosmetic fillers.  These substances provide volume and restore smoothness to help produce a more youthful appearance.  These fillers are FDA approved to correct facial wrinkles and folds, and generally last from 9-12 months.  The injections are generally well tolerated with minimal side effects or reactions.  The area to be treated can also be numbed (anesthetized) to further minimize discomfort.  Ice will also be applied to minimize any residual swelling to the site.

The offices of Dr. Anne Hermann offer comprehensive aesthetic services, including cosmetic fillers.  Offices are maintained in Tampa and Saint Petersburg Beach, Florida.  Please call the office at (813) 902-9559 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
