Lift Eyelids Without Surgery with Upneeq

The eyes are the focal point of the face. When people first look at you, they’re immediately drawn to your eyes. Therefore, sagging and drooping eyelids can have a significant impact on the overall appearance, particularly your entire face. Luckily, with Upneeq, your eyelids can quickly be lifted, providing you with cosmetic and functional benefits without the need for surgery.

What is Upneeq?

Upneeq is a prescription eyedrop that was specifically developed for sagging or “low-lying” lids. It’s unlike any other eye drop available on the market today, and it’s the only eye drop that’s been approved by the FDA for ptosis, drooping of the upper eyelids.

Most often, ptosis occurs in adults as a result of the aging process. Over time, the levator muscles above the eyes can become stretched and fail to function properly. As a result, the eyelids can’t effectively reach a fully lifted position.

Upneeq’s Active Ingredient

0.1% oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution is the active ingredient in Upneeq. This ingredient is an alpha agonist, meaning that it causes muscle and blood vessels to contract. When it’s applied to the eyes, the Muller’s muscle contracts and the eyelids lift, giving the eyes a rested appearance.

How Long Does Upneeq Last?

Upneeq can visibly lift the upper eyelids within mere minutes of applying the drops. While most patients see results within 2 hours Typically, Upneeq keeps the eyelids in an elevated position for approximately 6 hours and the eye drops should only be used once per day.

Potential Side Effects

Upneeq has shown to be a safe and effective treatment for ptosis when used as directed. In clinical trials, approximately 1% to 5% of patients developed temporary side effects including:

  • Eye inflammation, irritation, and/ or redness
  • Blurry vision
  • Dry eye
  • Headache
  • Installation site pain
